This Privacy Policy explains what data Roy’s Personal Assistant accesses, how that data is used, and where it is stored.

About Roy’s Personal Assistant

Roy’s Personal Assistant is a personal application developed by Roy Tal for his own single-user use. It is not offered to the general public and has no users other than the developer. This policy is published to satisfy Google’s OAuth verification requirements and to provide transparency about how data is handled.

Data Roy’s Personal Assistant accesses

With your explicit authorization through Google’s OAuth consent screen, Roy’s Personal Assistant requests access to the following Google API scopes:

• Google Calendar — read and write access to events and calendar lists, used to view, create, update, and delete calendar entries on your behalf.
• Google Gmail — read-only access to messages and metadata, used to summarize unread mail and answer questions about your inbox.
• OpenID profile and email — used to identify the authorized account.

How Roy’s Personal Assistant uses this data

• Calendar: events are displayed, created, updated, or deleted only at your direct request through the Telegram interface.
• Gmail: messages are read on demand to produce daily briefings, summarize unread mail, and answer questions you ask about your inbox. Mail content is never modified, sent, or deleted.
• Profile/email: used solely to confirm that the authorized Google account matches the expected user.

Where data is stored

• OAuth refresh tokens are stored in a Supabase Postgres database, encrypted at rest using Supabase’s standard encryption.
• Conversation history with Roy’s Personal Assistant is stored in the same Supabase database to maintain context across messages.
• Calendar event content and email content are not stored long term. They are fetched from Google on demand, used to generate a response, and discarded.

Third-party services

To operate, Roy’s Personal Assistant sends data to the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Anthropic Claude API — processes conversational input to generate responses.
• ElevenLabs — transcribes incoming voice messages and synthesizes voice replies.
• Tavily — performs web searches when you ask Roy’s Personal Assistant a question that requires up-to-date information.
• Telegram — provides the chat interface through which you interact with Roy’s Personal Assistant.
• Supabase — hosts the database and edge functions used by Roy’s Personal Assistant.

Data is shared with these services only as required to fulfill a specific request. None of these providers are used for advertising or tracking.

Who has access

Roy’s Personal Assistant is a single-user application. The only person who can authenticate, send messages, or read responses is Roy Tal, the developer. There are no other accounts, no user roster, and no shared access.

Data retention

Conversation history and any facts you ask Roy’s Personal Assistant to remember are retained until you request their deletion. OAuth tokens are retained for as long as you remain authorized; revoking access in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions will invalidate them immediately.

Data deletion

To request deletion of stored data, send an email to roytal13@gmail.com. You may also revoke Google access at any time through your Google Account permissions page; this immediately invalidates the stored refresh token.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies, does not run analytics, and does not track visitors. Roy’s Personal Assistant itself communicates only with the services listed above.

Children’s privacy

Roy’s Personal Assistant is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone other than the developer.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in Roy’s Personal Assistant’s functionality or in the third-party services it uses. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any revision.
